Intermediate Project Engineer/Technologist
REPORTS TO: General Manager
- Engineering
Position Summary:
The intermediate
engineer/technologist is responsible for planning and executing projects,
including coordination of more difficult assignments.
This position may conduct modification of existing guidelines, devising
new approaches, or applying existing criteria in new ways.
The ability to work independently in accomplishing goals is required, and
some mentoring of junior staff may also be expected.
This position provides direction and coordination to personnel involved
in field construction.
Responsibilities
-
Responsible for developing project-specific conceptual design philosophy
generating calculations as per industry standards, codes and client
specifications

Responsible for generating complete design drawings for projects

Responsible for addressing technical issues for projects
-
Responsible for mentoring junior/new engineers/technologists on the design
of Oil & Gas facilities
-
Support Line management for resolving different design issues
-
To incorporate Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) issues in all project
designs. Introduce HSE culture and
existing industrial practices in HSE with special reference to Oil & Gas
Plants

To communicate and effectively present design and technical issues to
internal and external stakeholders
-
To promptly respond to customer requests for technical support and to
coordinate with clients on discipline-related engineering issues

Project Support where needed

Attend project meetings
-
Preparing request for bids, preparing bids, bid comparison
-
Prepare requisitions
-
Prepare purchase orders, confirm orders and delivery
-
Identify, locate and pricing of equipment
-
Prepare EUB audit binders, pipeline and facilities applications
-
Material takeoffs
-
Meet or exceed deadlines when required
-
Regular reporting to senior staff
-
Meet with vendors
-
Able to work independently
-
Interact with clients
